The Saskatchewan Rattlers have announced the return of Kai Williams.
Williams, a Regina native, will return to the Rattlers roster and appear in his second season as part of the Rattlers. Williams will make his season debut in Friday night's home game matchup against the Guelph Nighthawks.
Aside from his time with the Rattlers, Williams has been playing professional basketball overseas since 2011. He has played in numerous professional leagues around the world, including the British Basketball League (BBL), the Cypriot Basketball Division A (Cyprus's top-tier basketball league), and the Basketligan (Sweden premier professional basketball league). Throughout his professional career, Williams has averaged 9.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 25.9 minutes.
Prior to playing professionally, Williams attended Campbell Collegiate in Regina and South Dakota State University. He averaged 11.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 31.7 minutes over three years with the Jackrabbits.
To accommodate for the move in accordance with the CEBL’s roster limit, Jelane Pryce has been released from the team due to injury.
