This is the 36th year of celebrating Small Business Week. Congratulations to all those small business persons who risk their time and capital to be there for us.

They buy buildings, rent space, hire staff, pay taxes, invest in inventory and work hard and long in order to succeed.

Kamsack is fortunate that we have such a good, solid business community: from restaurants and lounges to automobiles and farm machinery; from hardware and furniture to hairdressers and building supplies. And, many of our small businesses are diversified to provide more than one line of goods and services, and many of these businesses have been here for years. Others have just become involved over the past few years and are still getting established and expanding.

Old and new, it is good to have you all here.

Can you think of a small business that you would like to see established in Kamsack that we do not presently have?

If you do, call the town office or approach one of our existing small businesses.  Maybe your idea would fit in with one of our current retailers.

So, from the Town of Kamsack to small business owners, operators and employees, thank you and congratulations!
