Members of the Kamsack Volunteer Fire Department assembled on the field with the opposing team after a 20-minute soccer game. Although the firefighters lost by a score of 7-0, they felt the game was a success, said Ken Thompson, deputy fire chief, who has some 20 years experience as a firefighter. “Some of our newer members have not experienced the heat and stress involved in working a real fire,” he said. “This game gave them a real idea of working under stress. Two players experienced running out of air during the game.”
