Male charged after cocaine seized during search warrant in Yorkton

YORKTON - On Nov. 26, 2021, officers from the Yorkton RCMP and Yorkton Municipal General Investigation Section executed a search warrant at a residence on Agricultural Avenue in Yorkton.

Officers located and seized approximately 52 grams of cocaine, divided into 75 packages, as well as a sum of cash.

Acol Welid Agor Dau (DOB:2000-07-21) of Edmonton, Alberta was arrested at the residence. He is charged with:

- 1 count, trafficking (cocaine), Section 5(1), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

- 1 count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Dau has been remanded to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on November 29, 2021.
