Many activities at Musher Rendezvous

The main attraction at the annual Preeceville and District Musher Rendezvous held at the Preeceville Skating Arena January 30 and 31 were dog sled races but many other activities focused on fun were also held.

The main attraction at the annual Preeceville and District Musher Rendezvous held at the Preeceville Skating Arena January 30 and 31 were dog sled races but many other activities focused on fun were also held.

            A talent show with 13 entries kicked off the weekend followed by a full day of children's activities, two suppers and a dance with music by DJ Kanada-Sound Addition Services.  A pancake breakfast was served at the Legion Hall, provided by the Preeceville Lionesses. The awards portion concluded the weekend,

            There was a recreation hockey competition with four teams: two Preeceville teams, the Sturgis Trash and an Endeavour team. Each team played in a round robin competition with fun had by everyone.

            Don Duguid brought a snow plane and gave rides throughout the day on Saturday. Children's activities included: outhouse races, snow hill fun and curling on an outdoor curling sheet of ice with tree blocks for rocks. There were also snowshoes provided for entertainment. The outhouse races provided candy and packages of toilet paper as a trophy.

            Many items were available at the raffle table with three silent auction items.
