The Preeceville and District Musher Rendezvous committee held an organization meeting on November 14 with discussion surrounding various topics. The organization will be celebrating 20 years this season.
The Rendezvous is scheduled for February 2, 3 and 4.
Executive members are: Jim Ward, president; Allan Bodnar, vice-president; Meaghan Nelson, treasurer, and Brittany Halkyard, secretary.
It was reported and confirmed that Bev Masko will be responsible for the supper on Sunday, according to the minutes submitted by Brittany Halkyard.
Darlene Walker will be responsible for the Saturday supper. Masko and Walker will co-ordinate menus. The Saturday night dance music will be provided by DJ Kanada.
An updated report was given on the multi-purpose pad built behind the Preeceville Hospital.The trees have been cut, the town will dig roots in the spring, but the pad can be used now with the snow cover.
Discussion took place on the possibility of erecting a sign at the pad acknowledging the companies that donated time or materials to the construction. Groups represented included Mushers Rendezvous, JK RediMix, KevRhon, TAIGA, Town of Preeceville, BBB Construction and Trevin Leason.
