New staff at Good Spirit School Division schools begin 2016-2017 year

Teachers and staff hired the previous school year will now begin employment with the Good Spirit School Division. August 29 begins the 2016-2017 school year for staff members, with students returning to school on September 1.

            Canora Composite School will be welcoming one new staff member this year. Katherine LeBlanc will be the principal for the school, while the prior principal, Kim Eitenier, will become the vice-principal.

            Joining them will be library technician Jennifer Bisschop, administrative assistants Clarissa Mydonick and Michelle Sliva, caretakers Melodie Berehula, Christopher Donovan, and Max Zbitniff; educational assistants Michelle Anaka, Linda Dyck, Lorraine Gress, and Jacqueline Skurat; and teachers Curtis Baillie, Helen Forbes, Andrew Hoffman, Robin Kapitoler, Leona Kitchen, Colin Knight, Llewellyn Thomas Lowes, Cecil Machnee, Dustin Nielsen, Ronda O’Dell, Kelly Perepeluk-Nieckar, Koren Pitkethly, Nathan Seghers, Jennifer Sleeva, Cindy Sznerch, and Karen Wilgosh.

            Canora Junior Elementary School has hired a total of five new staff members for the school year. Lisa St. Mars and Shyla Yannoulis were hired as educational assistants, and will be working with the current assistants, including Connie Dunbar, Bev Hadubiak, and Shirley Kulcheski. The three new teachers are Alexandria Blatter, Lisa Strozen, and Darla Zayshley, who will work with returning teachers Eugene Chorneyko, Christine Danyluk, Patti-Jo Donovan, Rhonda Exner, Arlene Lozinski, Lesley Miles, Lindsey Ostafie, Jennifer Prychak, and Scott Vaughan.

            Rod Steciuk will return as principal of the school, Bev Hedubiak as the library technician, Kim Hladun as the administrative assistant, and Catherine Spokes as the caretaker.

            Fort Livingstone School in Pelly has one new teacher, Ashten Langille, who will be joining Shirley Myhre, Caitlynd Sutherland, and Darren Kitsch. Tara Blosha is the current principal of the school. Also returning to the school are administrative assistant Tammy Heskin, library technician Shelley Thiessen, and educational assistants Ronda Lasko, Tricia Shankowsky, and Trudy Tuttle.

            Invermay School also welcomes one new staff member. Marina Soltys has been hired as an educational assistant, and will work alongside current assistants Angela Andreas, Karen Dubas, and Marie Grychowski. Grychowski is also hired as the library technician. The staff for the 2016-2017 school year include principal Penny Castle, administrative assistant Barb Dawe, caretaker Tim Chodak, and teachers Jennifer Currah, Diana Enge, Melissa Grona, Nathan Hrynchyshyn, Cecil Machnee, Dalice Nelson, Nathan Seghers, and Roderick Zwarch.

            Norquay School has no new staff members for the school year. Trevor Olson returns as principal, with Tracy Grywacheski as the administrative assistant, Ruth Lukey and Daniel Wasylenchuk as caretakers, Erin Auchstaetter, Juanita Newcombe, Bowdrie Northrop, and Rene Wasylyniuk as educational assistants, Sandra Turta as the library technician, and Barry Chorneyko, Melissa Chroneyko, Lisa Dyck, Jeannette Ebert, Geoff Grocholski, Robyn Holodniuk, Rhonda Innes, Heath Morin, Nicole Olson, Lindsay Peters, Colleen Robinson, Evan Rostotski, Stacy Rubletz, Nathan Seghers, and Nicole Silivus as teachers.
