News from Good Spirit Acres

By Joan Thompson

The Good Spirit Acres Community Association invites you to their annual St. Patrick’s Day Irish Stew Fundraiser Dinner on March 19 at the Good Spirit Park Recreation Hall. A silent auction will follow the dinner. Tickets are now available at the store or from any of the board members.

There have been some changes to the executive for the Community Association. Lynn McDonald remains as the president. Charm Johnson is now the vice-president and Kellyanne Ostafie is the secretary-treasurer.

The Snowarama committee would like to thank the Good Spirit Acres Community Association and all of the Good Spirit Acres residents who volunteered to help with the lunch and fuel stop on February 6. Once again this was a very successful event in support of Camp Easter Seal in Saskatchewan.

There was a good turnout of community residents on February 2 to welcome the Prairie Women on Snowmobiles for an afternoon coffee reception at the Good Spirit Park Recreation Hall. They would like to thank everyone for their generous support. Overall they raised $159,000 for breast cancer research during their weeklong ride.

Congratulations to Chris and Maranda Leis and big brother Bryden on the birth of Jayden Jacob on February 16.
