Numerous medals brought home by dancers

Dancers from the Studio Dance One club in Preeceville brought home numerous gold, silver and bronze medals from the Wadena dance competition on March 12 and 13. Dancers performed jazz, ballet and tap routines.

            Dancers from the Studio Dance One club in Preeceville brought home numerous gold, silver and bronze medals from the Wadena dance competition on March 12 and 13.

            In the jazz dances, the jazz one group received a bronze medal and scored 85. Dancers were: Kacey Heskin, Macey Mitchell, Bryanna Hartl, McKenna Firman, Claire Masko and Peyton Lisoway.

            Jazz two received gold medals, scored a 90 and won an award for Best First Appearance. Dancers were: Anna Dela-Cruz, Aliya Redoblada and Riely Turchinetz.

            Jazz three dances received a gold medal and scored an 87. Dancers were: Gabby Murray, Alexis Firman, Hallie Petrysyhn and Addison Danielson.

            The jazz group received gold medals and scored an 86. Dancers were: Mia Mitchell, Katryna Englot, Kourtney Gregory, Chloe Chornomitz and Kiera Balyski.

            The jazz five group won silver and scored an 85. Dancers were: Emily Prestie, Rowan Prestie, Kirsten Murray, Mia Mitchell, Olivia Chornomitz, Alexis Bodnar and Hannah Gerbrandt.

            Ballet one won gold and scored an 83. The dancers were: Maggie Bartel, Jenna Anaka and Saphira Anaka. The same group performed a tap dance and won gold and scored a 90.

            The ballet two group received a silver medal and scored 81. The dancers were: Kiera Balyski, Jillian Newton, Gabby Murray, Emerson Strykowski, Paje Reynolds and Addison Danielson.

            Cowgirls who performed a tap dance won a silver and scored an 86 were: Morgan Mitchell, Kirsten Murray, Emily Prestie and Olivia Chornomitz.

            The ballet three group won a silver medal and scored an 81. The dancers were: Morgan Mitchell, Hannah Gerbrandt, Emily Prestie, Kirsten Murray and Alexis Bodnar.

            The tap five group won a bronze and scored an 85. Dancers were: Katryna Englot, Mia Mitchell, Kiera Balyski, Jillian Newton and Chloe Chornomitz.

            The tap four dancers were Paje Reynolds, Emerson Strykowski, Alexis Firman, Camryn Nelson and Addison Danielson.

            The tap two dancers, Riely Turchinetz, Natalie Gregory, Myrandah Gagnon and Jainylle Gagnon, danced a tap dance won gold and scored an 87.

            Gold medals were won by tap one dancers and they scored an 87. They were: Kirsten Murray, helper, Trenley Nelson, Claire Masko, Dexter Penner, Bryanna Hartl and Peyton Lisoway.

            Jillian Newton won a silver for her ballet solo and scored an 82.

            Katie Chernyk won a gold medal for her jazz solo and scored an 80.

            Hannah Gerbrandt danced a lyrical solo and scored an 82.

            Alexis Bodnar scored an 85 and won a silver medal for her contemporary solo performance.

            Emerson Strykowski scored an 85 for her jazz solo.
