Outlook Town Council Sets Public Meeting

Residents urged to attend question-and-answer forum

Residents who live in the town of Outlook are being asked to attend a special public meeting that will be held on Thursday night, November 30 at the Outlook Civic Centre.

The event was set by Outlook's town council at their own scheduled meeting on Tuesday, November 14.

The public setting will give the people of Outlook an open mic, so to speak; a moderated question-and-answer forum that will give taxpayers the chance to ask the mayor and town councillors about the issues that are important to them, as well as pose any other questions related to what's happening within the community.

Mayor Ross Derdall said it was important to be open and accessible to the public, and feels that he and council should be able to answer any and all questions, even if they are some hard ones.

The mayor and town council are hoping for a large turnout of people and want to hear the public's comments, questions and concerns.  Prior to the civic election in October 2016, a candidate forum hosted by The Outlook in the same venue saw a standing-room-only capacity crowd.

The public meeting on November 30 starts at 7:00 pm.
