Over $10,000 to New Pool Project

Bank matches funds raised from music cabaret

The town of Outlook’s new swimming pool project was the recipient of another generous donation this past week when Scotiabank decided to match the funds that were raised from a recent cabaret event.

On April 28, a concert by Outlook native Lisa Moen that took place at the Civic Centre was organized by helpful volunteers, including six members of the Scotiabank branch as well as the Ice Hawks hockey team that tended the bar.  On top of that, beef was donated by Robert and Lisa Peterman for attendees to enjoy.

The event also featured ‘Chicken BINGO’, as well as raffles to win items such as tickets to see Brad Paisley.

It was the second-annual cabaret done to raise money for the new pool.

On Tuesday, May 30, Scotiabank branch manager Meagan Eliason (right) was joined by Lisa Peterman (left) as they presented the funds to Teresa Weldon (middle), representing the New Pool Committee.

With $4502.50 raised from the cabaret, $1000 from the Royal Bank, and $5000 from Scotiabank, the new pool project received a total of $10,502.50.
