YORKTON - A Walk for Peace attracted a small group to the Gallagher Centre Sunday.

The short walk through the Ravine Ecological Preserve area was a way to promote the idea of peace for all.

Warren Crossman, an organizer with the local Living Peace Association said they just want people thinking about peace.

“We think in this world, and in this country, and in our community, we need to be having a conversation about it (peace), and what it means to lead a peaceful life,” he said.

The walk was the first activity for the Living Peace Association since the onset of COVID.

Crossman said the group, which organizes community peace activities and education events in the Yorkton area to promote a culture of peace, is currently planning other activities they expect to announce soon.
