Home for Christmas at Jim & Phyllis McCallum’s were: son Trent, Heidi and Mitchell, Marissa from Saskatoon and Kendra from Edmonton. Stacy and Lori of Yorkton, Brandon of Kelowna and Garett of Regina also joined for the family holiday.

Mary Sharkey visited Bernice in Regina over the holidays. Chrissie (granddaughter) and Mark Morrison and their daughters also joined the gathering.

That old excuse “the dog ate my homework” has been bettered- the dog ate my retainer!

Saltcoats Anglican church worship on Sun., Jan. 18 will be in Yorkton at 9:30 a.m. in the Bentley Chapel.

Saltcoats Library is open Tues. and Thurs. from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. and on Wed. 9:00 to 12:00 and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. There is a photo album section near the round table. The Library has an album of HRH Princess Anne’s visit and one with Town Hall floor donation memorials. The Agricultural Society album’s include a neat photo from 1897 “Saltcoats Siftings” newspaper of the Queen’s Hotel. The “March 17 plays” began in the 1930’s with “Lighthouse Nan” listing Sir Arthur Choke (L. Neal) and Nan (E. Erratt); “The Nutty Family” included Lila (M. Koptie), Bea Wise (B.A. Graham), “Mama’s Baby Boy” with Wilbur (G. Laycock), Cynthia (R. Yaworski), “The Hillbillie Wedding” has a large cast: K. Trowell, S. Toth, C. Westberg, V. Wiley, D. Torrie, S. Parachoniak, G. Barnhart, J. Leipert, M. Rooke, D. Liepert, S. Willis. Great fun to revisit!
