Preeceville man dies in ATV-sprayer collision

A Preeceville man died August 20 in a collision between an agricultural sprayer and an ATV. On August 20 at approximately 6:40 p.m.

            A Preeceville man died August 20 in a collision between an agricultural sprayer and an ATV.

            On August 20 at approximately 6:40 p.m., Canora RCMP received a complaint of a collision involving a northbound ATV and an eastbound agricultural sprayer that occurred on a grid road approximately 3.5 miles south of Sturgis, said a release from the RCMP.

Canora RCMP, Sturgis Fire Department and Sturgis EMS attended the collision.

The driver of the ATV, a 59-year-old male from Preeceville, was pronounced deceased at the scene, the release said. The occupant of the sprayer was not injured.

The Canora RCMP and the Saskatchewan Coroner's Office are continuing the investigation into the cause of the collision.
