Preeceville and area residents gathered in front of the Legislative Building in Regina on March 8 to protest the cutbacks being faced at the Preeceville and District Health Centre.

"We marched from the museum to the Legislature Building in Regina," said Stacey Strykowski, an organizer. "We attended a rally with many others who are affected by the cutbacks.

“The purpose was to show the government that we do not want to see any more cuts in education and health care,” Strykowski said. “The main focus on a local level is that Sunrise (Health Region) will not give the Preeceville Hospital back the 10 acute beds and will not allow 24-hour emergency service.”
