Preeceville RM makes committee appointments for 2018

The Rural Municipality of Preeceville made its committee and board appointments for 2018 at the December meeting of council, according to Lisa Peterson, administrator.

            The reeve and council were appointed to the finance committee and to the fire rangers committee.

            Courtney Bourassa was appointed as the secretary for the board of revision.

            Reeve Rick Pristie was appointed to the public works committee, Occupation Health and Safety committee, the road committee, the Emergency Measures Organization planning committee, the Mutual Aid Area, the North East Area Transportation planning committee, the municipal workshop committee, the bylaw committee (drafting and enforcement) and the Cowessess liaison committee.

            Corwin Tonn, Div. 1 councillor, was appointed to public works, Occupation Health and Safety, road committee, the Emergency Measurers Organization planning committee and as weed inspector.

            Councillor Darcy Rediger of Div. 2, was appointed to the Sturgis and district Regional Park committee, the Emergency Measurers Organization executive committee, Sturgis and District Fire Co-operative, Preeceville Recreation board, the municipal workshop committee, Preeceville Arena board, Parkland Regional Waste Management authority, Assiniboine Watershed Stewardship association, doctor incentive and recruitment committee, the Ketchen waterworks committee and as the weed inspector.

            Lawrence Hamilton of Div. 3 was appointed to public works committee, North East Area Transportation planning committee, Sturgis and District Fire Co-operative, Preeceville-Sturgis recreation board, Parkland Regional Waste Management authority, bylaw committee (drafting and enforcement) and as weed inspector.

            Councillor Reg Strand of Div. 4 was appointed to Parkland Regional Library (Preeceville branch) and Cowessess liaison committee.

            Reg Yaremchuk of Div. 5 was appointed to the public works committee, the Norquay Veterinary service district, the road committee, the Sturgis and District Regional Park, Emergency Measurers Organization executive committee, the Assiniboine Watershed Stewardship association, the bylaw committee (drafting and enforcement), the health focus group, the Cowessess liaison committee and as weed inspector.

            James Bodnar, Div. 6 councillor, was appointed to Occupation Health and Safety, Sturgis and District Regional Park, Emergency Measurers Organization executive committee, Parkland Regional Library (Preeceville branch), Endeavour recreation board, weed inspector, bylaw committee (drafting and enforcement), doctor incentive and recruitment committee, health focus group and to the Cowessess liaison committee.

            Lisa Peterson, administrator, was appointed to Occupation Health and Safety committee, the Emergency Measurers Organization planning committee, the administration of stray animals act, the bylaw committee (drafting and enforcement) and the Cowessess liaison committee.

            Martin Rosenkerr was appointed to the Occupation Health and Safety committee.

            Jamie Falk was appointed to the administration of stray animals act and Joanne Strijak was appointed as pound keeper.

            Tony Carr, Darin Newton, Don Steciuk, Jesse Nelson, Arlee Thideman and Ron Schiller were appointed to the Sturgis and District Regional Park committee.

            Brad Secundiak was appointed as Emergency Measures Officer and fire chief.

            Burt Suknasky was appointed to the Parkland Regional Library, Sturgis branch.

            Brian Melsness was appointed as weed inspector.

            Ron Skogen was appointed as pest control officer.
