Preeceville senior football team adds a win to season record

The Preeceville Panthers senior football team traveled to Watson on October 14 with high hopes of adding another win to its record. "The team was not denied as we walked away with a great win with a score of 32-20," said Jeremy Mattison, coach.

            Sean Paligan scored three touchdowns, followed by Spencer King with a rushing pass touchdown. Bo Babiuk intercepted for the last touchdown of the game.

            "Players were faced with terrible conditions," said Mattison. "The day was cold and wet and the field was really muddy.

            “It was a tough game but players kept focused and the offence and defence played well,” he said. “We continue to come together as a team and keep improving.

            “We are looking forward to playoffs and are up for the challenge," he said.

            The next game will see the Panthers traveling to Watrous on October 21 to play the first game of the playoffs. The winner of the game will go on to play for the final.
