Thursday, Sept.7 at noon the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce will hold its next Business Lunch at the Painted Hand Casino.  Guest Speaker Sarah Tkachuk of KPMG will be explaining how the proposed tax changes may impact every small business in the country.

Mike Stackhouse, Chair of the Chamber’s Policy Committee urges all business people to attend this lunch to learn more about this topic.  “The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is asking Chambers all across the country to inform their members about these pending changes,” he said. “It’s important that small business owners learn about these and speak out against these proposed changes.”

Juanita Polegi, Executive Director indicated that the Yorkton Chamber has been asking small businesses to share how such changes, if implemented, will affect their business. “These stories are powerful and we will share them with the local Member of Parliament and the Canadian Chamber as they continue to fight these changes,” she said.

Small businesses which employ family members; small businesses which invest their profits; and small businesses which will be passed to the next generation will be affected by the proposed tax changes.
