On August 26, 2019 at 2:27am, Battlefords RCMP received a call of shots fired at a residence in the 200 block of 15th Street in Battleford.
RCMP attended and located the residence with several holes that appeared to be from a firearm.
There were no injuries to the residents reported to police. Other RCMP members on patrol located a vehicle close to the scene of the shooting.
Members attempted to stop the vehicle and the vehicle refused to stop.
After a short pursuit the vehicle was disabled with a spike belt and the driver was taken into custody.
Members located a firearm and numerous rounds of ammunition inside the vehicle.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
This does not appear to be a random incident.
