Mounties in the Kamsack area are asking cottage owners at Madge Lake to call them for property searches as they continue looking for a missing 15-year-old boy, last seen early Sunday morning.
Jaxon MacDonald, who is from Regina, was last seen at a party with local kids at 12:30 a.m. on March 14. RCMP members, local firefighters, volunteers, police dogs and an airplane unit have been scouring the area around Madge Lake — a 25-minute drive east of Kamsack — since Sunday.
On Tuesday morning police asked cottage owners in Duck Mountain Provincial Park to call them before checking their properties for signs of MacDonald. They specified properties on the following streets: Annette Street, Connie Avenue, Henny Street, Jubilee Drive, Madge Street, Olive Street, Sunny Street and Willow Avenue.
Owners should call the Kamsack RCMP detachment at 306-542-5560.
The RCMP said it's making the request because it “is critical so the search area is not compromised and so we can confidently record that a search has been conducted on your property.”
MacDonald was last seen wearing all black clothing — a Champion hoodie, Adidas sweat pants and Adidas shoes. He is Caucasian, is five feet, six inches tall, has brown hair and blue eyes, along with freckles. He wears braces.
His mom, Danielle Wilson, told the Leader-Post the boy had texted her when he was leaving the party, asking her to pick him up. When she arrived, he wasn’t there.
Wilson confirmed her family has put up a reward of up to $100,000 if any information is provided that leads to MacDonald’s whereabouts.
Mounties also urged people to ignore an unfounded rumour on social media about police thinking MacDonald is on the nearby Cote First Nation. The police service said, “There is no evidence to support this statement and we ask the public to stop sharing this post and be responsible in their comments on social media.”

The Madge Lake area sits about five kilometres away from the Manitoba border in eastern Saskatchewan.
