Residents at the Preeceville and District Health Centre long-term care have had a busy few months with many activities.

The highlight in the month of November was the Remembrance Day service that was followed by a cadet visit, said a newsletter provided by the centre. There were many activities geared towards the mental and physical wellbeing of the residents.

During the month residents enjoyed the walking program, mental aerobics, crafts, bingo, group exercises and reading.

Entertainment was provided by Willie Jakubowski and Company and Mike Lazaruk and Company.

Church service was conducted by members of the Preeceville and District Ministerial.

The residents also saw the Christmas tree erected and participated in the decorating of it.

The month of December kicked off with a tea and bake sale sponsored by the Preeceville Lions Hostel. It was followed by Christmas photographs and the completion of decorating the centre. Christmas baking, caroling and visits from the Preeceville Grade 3 class were some of the highlights for the month.

Residents are to be joined by their families for a Christmas social on December 11. The month continues with Christmas-related activities.

Routine activities for the month featured walking, group exercises, mental aerobics, bingo, ball toss, baking, entertainment and Bible studies.
