Saskatoon, SK - Saskatchewan Rush have acquired a 2020 second-round draft pick and a 2021 first-round draft pick from the Colorado Mammoth in exchange for forward Connor Robinson.
The trade, announced today by Rush General Manager Derek Keenan, lands the Rush the 26th overall selection in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft and also gives the Rush three first-round picks in the 2021 Entry Draft. The 2020 NLL Entry Draft takes place Thursday, September 17th.
“It’s difficult to move a player with such great potential, but while remaining in the hunt to chase down another championship in 2021, we also need to address the future,” said Keenan.
“We now have five first-round picks in the next two drafts and we also think we will find a good player with the 26th pick in this year’s draft. We thank Connor for his contributions over his two seasons with the Rush and wish him the best of luck with his new team.”
The Rush now have the following picks in the upcoming 2020 NLL Entry Draft:
First Round – 7th overall (from Philadelphia via Ben McIntosh-Josh Currier trade)
