Santa Claus Day a Holiday Hit

Annual event a success for Chamber of Commerce

Christmas spirit permeated the air in Outlook with another edition of Santa Claus Day, which took place on Saturday, December 2.  Brought together by the Outlook & District Chamber of Commerce, the event kicked off at the Legion Hall where Santa arrived just before noon by way of a horse carriage, where he was greeted by a full house waiting to see him and take photos with him.

As well, the arts and crafts table kept kids busy, and the horse carriage outside, manned by Mark Gross with his two “reindeer” Sally and Cub, took people on idyllic rides around town.  Elsewhere, families enjoyed screenings of ‘Arthur Christmas’ at the Reel Theatre, as well as the outdoor skating rink behind AG Foods.

Things moved over to the museum grounds in the early evening as the Community Choir sang carols before the lighting of the community Christmas tree.  The colourful and festive celebration wrapped up another successful Santa Claus Day in Outlook, putting smiles on faces and providing memories for many during the holiday season.
