As a result of the March 2021 winter storm Saskatchewan RCMP are advising motorists to check the highway conditions before travelling. Driving and weather conditions throughout the province are changing, with the arrival of this late-season winter storm.
If you have travel planned for today, please consider staying home if you’re able to and postpone your travel plans. If this is not possible, ensure you give yourself plenty of time to arrive at your destination; let someone know your plans before travelling; have an emergency kit and a fully-charged cell phone on hand; and ensure your vehicle’s gas tank is full.
Make sure to regularly check the forecast and consult the Highway Hotline prior to travelling on Saskatchewan roads and highways: https://hotline.gov.sk.ca/mobile/
