Saskatchewan RCMP - Member-involved shooting at Fishing Lake First Nation results in death

Today at 1:23 p.m., RCMP officers from the Wadena Detachment were called to a residence on the Fishing Lake First Nation. A caller reported to police that an adult male was causing a disturbance outside a residence and was armed with a weapon.

A caller reported to police that an adult male was causing a disturbance outside a residence and was armed with a weapon.

 

Two police officers immediately responded. Shortly after they arrived at the scene, the officers called for assistance as shots had been fired by police. The adult male was injured and EMS was required.

 

The adult male was declared deceased at the scene by EMS. The police officers were not injured.

 

C/Supt. Alfredo Bangloy will speak to the media at 8:30 p.m. at RCMP Headquarters, 6101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina.
