Saskatoon - 53 charges result from arrest of three people

Two women and one man are facing a total of 53 charges following a report of a disturbance Monday night in Saskatoon.

The Air Support Unit assisted in locating three people SPS members were then able to arrest.

Two women, one from Saskatoon and one from Edmonton, along with a man from Liberty, Sask., are facing a total of 53 charges following a report of a disturbance Monday night.

Saskatoon Police Service was called to a residence in the 200 block of Avenue O South where people were outside creating the disturbance.

Members of the Air Support Unit witnessed three people leaving from the rear of the home as ground units arrived. The three made their way to another address on the street. Patrol members located a running vehicle at the scene and two women and a man. A search of the vehicle resulted in officers locating a loaded firearm on the backseat and two more firearms along with ammunition in the rear hatch area.

A search of the 31-year-old male resulted in officers locating fentanyl, Xanax and hydromorph.

A 33-year-old female was in possession of methamphetamine.

The three, including a 44-year-old female, are facing numerous firearm related charges.

The 31-year-old male and 33-year-old female are facing additional drug charges.
