SASKATOON — The City of Saskatoon has announced adjustments to its office hours and will be open on Friday, June 30, due to the Canada Day long weekend.
However, City Hall and all administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 3. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, July 4.
As a standard practice, Saskatoon observes that any statutory holiday falls on a weekend on the following Monday. This policy ensures consistency in holiday observance for the city's residents.
Given the expected rise in temperatures during the long weekend, Saskatoon's Extreme Heat Emergency Response will be activated from Friday, June 30, to Monday, July 3.
This measure aims to address potential challenges posed by the warmer weather. For a comprehensive list of cool-down locations and further details about the Extreme Heat Emergency Response, please visit saskatoon.ca/heat.
The City of Saskatoon takes this opportunity to extend Happy Canada Day well wishes to all its residents. Additionally, they emphasize the importance of a safe and enjoyable long weekend for everyone in the community.
