Saskatoon man faces child porn charges

SASKATOON – A Saskatoon man accused of making available and possessing child porn made his first appearance in court.

Twenty-nine-year-old Michael Sutton turned himself into police Tuesday, and police say he made his first appearance in court Aug. 30.

Sutton was charged after Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Saskatoon Police raided a home on June 2 that was identified where offences were occurring.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
