Update: Saskatoon Police charge man in death of Nykera Brown

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Nov. 15, 2022 and has now been charged with second-degree murder.

Update: The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section has made an arrest in connection to a suspicious death that occurred on Tuesday.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Nov. 15, 2022 and has now been charged with second-degree murder. The victim, 20-year-old Nykera Brown, and the accused were known to each other, police say. The Major Crime Section continues to investigate, however investigators are not looking for any additional suspects.

SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating a suspicious death that occurred Monday evening.

On Nov. 15 at approximately 8:15 p.m., police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Avenue P South. The body of a 20-year-old Saskatoon woman was found at the scene. 

Investigators from the Major Crime Section as well as technicians from the Forensic Identification Section are involved in the investigation. Two adults, a man and a woman have been detained for questioning.  No charges have been laid at this point and the investigation is continuing. Police do not believe there is any danger to the public.
