Co-ordinators and organizers for the second annual Preeceville Spring Expo are gearing up for another successful show with over 70 booths booked.

Co-ordinators and organizers for the second annual Preeceville Spring Expo are gearing up for another successful show with over 70 booths booked. The show, which is organized by the Preeceville Fire Department, is scheduled for April 15 and 16 at the Preeceville Skating Arena.

There will be booths that feature just about everything, from agricultural products to products from home-based dealerships, said an organizer. Local dealerships and specialty shops will be represented and there will be sales of food-related products. There will be plenty of activities for the children with an inflatable bouncy castle set up and there will be fire truck rides available on both days.

From the kitchen, there will be a major supper prepared on the Friday and a pancake breakfast will kick off activities on the Saturday. There will be bake sale items available on both days with items supplied by the parishioners of the Lutheran and United churches.

Entertainment will be supplied by local artists. Among the performers will be Willie and Company, the Woodland Chorus, the Good Spirit School Division band players, local Ukrainian dancers and numerous others are expected to perform.

Tickets for a progressive 50/50 raffle draw will be sold and the winner will be announced at the end of the second day.

Various displays will be held. Two daily door prizes will be donated by Formo Motors. To be entered in the draw, organizers are requesting that individuals bring non-perishable food items or give cash donations. All proceeds from the food drive will be donated to the Filling the Gap program.

All the proceeds from the show will be donated to the Mushers’ Rendezvous multi-purpose pad.

"The Preeceville Fire Department stepped up last year to take on the challenge of putting on the show after it was dropped," said Welma Bartel, an organizer. "It was a huge success last year and we are looking forward to another successful show with more than 70 vendors, a variety of activities for the children and local entertainment.”
