Seniors participate in snooker and whist competitions

Members of the Kamsack Seniors’ Centre played snooker and whist competitions on Friday and Sunday. In doubles snooker competition played Friday, the A event was won by the team of Ray Handzuik and Gerald Moriarty.

            Members of the Kamsack Seniors’ Centre played snooker and whist competitions on Friday and Sunday.

            In doubles snooker competition played Friday, the A event was won by the team of Ray Handzuik and Gerald Moriarty. Jim Beauchamp and John Groleau placed second and Archie Giest and Lloyd Thomas, third.

            The B event in double snooker was won by the team of Richard Rook and Marvin McKay. The team of Charles Thomas and Ernie Welyk placed second, while Charlie Achtymichuk and John Adamyk placed third.

            A team of Joyce Mclean and Joanne Zychkowski placed first in the whist competition played Sunday.

            Placing second was the team of Lorraine Sakundiak and Bev Scobie, while Helen Rose and Helen Polzen placed third.

            The hidden score was held by the teams of John Adamyk and John Groleau, Nancy Broda and Loraine Thomas and Joanne Zychkowski and Joyce Mclean
