SPS arrest woman who escaped from Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge

Saskatoon Police apprehended Anna Cook on Monday

SASKATOON -  On Monday Saskatoon Police apprehended an inmate who had escaped from Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge.

On Sept. 23 during the 1:15 p.m. count, staff members at Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge, a multi-level security federal facility, discovered that 30-year-old Anna Rose Cook wasn’t accounted for.

She was located and arrested three days later around 7 p.m. by SPS.

Cook is currently serving a two-year sentence for two counts of theft under $5,000, four counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, two counts of theft of a credit card, procures, possess and sell identity documents, flight from a peace officer, obstruction of a peace officer, fraudulently obtain transportation, mischief, and two counts of failing to comply with an order by being at large,

The Correctional Service of Canada said they are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
