Brad Cameron, the principal, and other staff at the Sturgis Composite High School welcomed students back to another school year.
"The biggest change that the staff and students will notice immediately is the renovations to the lobby area," Cameron said. "Through the summer months the lobby received a complete makeover with new LED lights that light up the entire lobby. The new paint, new flooring and new water fountains make a huge difference.
“Other changes will be starting throughout the year with the major makeover to the upstairs and later to the south wing of the school,” he said. “The major renovations will make room for the addition of the elementary school into the high school. The schedule renovations should be done by the fall of 2017.
“We have no new staff changes, in fact we lost one teacher," he said.
