Calling the games and organizing the event were Crossroads Credit Union staff members and Aaron Herriges, director of leisure services.

Thirty players, aged 12 to 17, took part in six rounds of bingo. Megan Barteski and Hanna Keinick shared the victory in round one. Zoe Thomas was the victor in round two and Keinick took round three. Hayden Parmley and Zennia Lukey took the wins in round four and five respectively. Thomas kept up her momentum and won the blackout round in round six.

“The last round was intense as we had multiple blackout finalists that had to play for an additional blackout to determine a winner,” said Herriges.

The prizes in the first five rounds were Bluetooth speakers and $10 I-tune Gift cards.

The grand prize for the final blackout round was a Samsung tablet.

Herriges said scheduling the bingo at the same time as the Winter Family Skate was a part of the overall plan for this year’s Winter Lights Festival.

“This created something to do for the whole family at one time and one location,” he explained. “This was the model for all our events this year.”
