Return to reading Following more than a week of flood remediation, the Yorkton Public Library reopened its doors Monday. Some programming had to be cancelled or postponed, but is expected to resume shortly. The July 31 flash flooding that hit low-lying areas of the city after 60 mm of rain fell in less than an hour did not damage any of the Library’s collection as a similar event did in 2010. Because of the closure, library users were offered amnesty on late fees.Thom Barker
