YORKTON - Culture Days officially kicked off in Yorkton with a ribbon cutting at the event office in the Parkland Mall.

Lisa Washington said the space at the mall will “be a hub” for Culture Days and is a fine example of the sort of partnership which makes the events work so well.

Culture Days Yorkton will be offering 45 events that have been organized by more than 30 local artists and arts and culture organizations. The events will be held at various venues around the community starting Sept. 22, and running through until Oct. 15.

“Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture. At the end of each September, millions of people attend thousands of free participatory arts and culture events across the country both in-person and online. Culture Days programs invite the public to get hands-on and behind-the-scenes to highlight the importance of arts and culture in our communities,” details culturedays.ca
