On March 4, 2020, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes North arrested two more individuals directly involved in relation to the disappearance of 20-year-old Allan Douglas Garrioch.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. yesterday evening, a pursuit was initiated by the Saskatchewan RCMP Crime Reduction Team after a 2004 blue Jeep Cherokee failed to stop for police. The vehicle and its two occupants were confirmed to be directly involved in the kidnapping and homicide that occurred at Humboldt on Feb. 25, 2020.
The pursuit began on a gravel road south of Davis, SK, and continued east on Hwy #3. The pursuit ended in the town of Weldon, SK, approximately 55 km away, when the vehicle became stuck in a ditch. The male driver fled from the vehicle.
Units from surrounding detachments assisted with the pursuit keeping the vehicle scene secure. Saskatchewan RCMP Police Dog Services also attended the scene and located a 42-year-old male hiding in a bush. A 40-year-old woman was located in the vehicle.
Steven Veilleux (DOB: 1977-12-22) of Prince Albert, SK, was arrested and is facing the following charges:

· Indignity to a Body – S. 182(b) C.C
· Kidnapping while using a firearm – S. 279(1.1(a.1) C.C
· Forcible Confinement – S. 279(2) C.C
· Break & Enter and Commit – S. 348(1)(a) C.C
· Assault with a Weapon – S. 267(a) C.C
· Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x 2 – S. 88 C.C
· Disguise with Intent – S. 351(2) C.C
· Flight from Police – S. 320.17 C.C
· Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle – S. 320.13(1) C.C
Jodie Lynn Veilleux (DOB: 1979-11-12) of Prince Albert, SK, has been charged with:
· Kidnapping while using a firearm – S. 279(1.1(a.1) C.C
· Forcible Confinement – S. 279(2) C.C
· Break & Enter and Commit – S. 348(1)(a) C.C
· Assault with a Weapon – S. 267(a) C.C
· Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x 2 – S. 88 C.C
· Flight from Police – S. 320.17 C.C
· Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle – S. 320.13(1) C.C
Steven Veilleux and Jodie Lynn Veilleux have been remanded and are scheduled to make their first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday, March 6, 2020, at 9:30 a.m.
Steven Veilleux is the father of Brettin Andrew Veilleux-Pelletier and Jodie Lynn Veilleux is his step-mother.
The investigation is ongoing.
