Update: Two charged in disappearance of missing Humboldt man

On February 29, 2020, the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit North arrested two individuals in relation to the disappearance of 20-year-old Allan Douglas Garrioch (who also used the surname Glasier) of Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

21-year-old Tristan Daniel Morrison of Saskatoon, SK, has been charged with:

· First degree murder – S. 235 Criminal Code (CC)

· Indignity to a body - S. 182(b) CC

· Kidnapping while using a firearm – S. 279(1.1(a.1) CC

· Forcible confinement – S. 279(2) CC

· Break and enter and commit – S. 348(1)(a) CC

· Assault with a weapon – S. 267(a) CC

· Two counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose – S. 88 CC

· Disguise with intent – S. 351(2) CC

23-year-old Joshua Dominic Canevaro of Saskatoon, SK, has been charged with:

· Kidnapping while using a firearm – S. 279(1.1(a.1), Criminal Code (CC)

· Forcible confinement – S. 279(2) C.C

· Break and enter and commit – S. 348(1)(a) C.C

· Assault with a weapon – S. 267(a) C.C

· Two counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose– S. 88 C.C

Both will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court this morning (Monday, March 2) at 9:30 a.m.

Yesterday investigators conducted a number of ground searches in the RM of Bayne, SK. Early this morning, human remains were discovered in the area. A forensic autopsy will be required to confirm the identity of the deceased.

There will be a continued police presence near the Hamlet of Dana, SK throughout the day. There is no risk to public safety. Passersby are asked to respect any direction provided by police.
