Village of MacNutt social distancing during Council meeting

On Tuesday, April 7th MacNutt council held its regular monthly meeting in the main part of the village office in order to maintain social distancing.

The meeting started off with the village librarian giving council some updates of the library and how it is coping with the pandemic.

Next, the agenda and minutes were reviewed and accepted.

The correspondence was then reviewed, noting that the defibrillator pads and battery needs to be replaced on the AED that is in the hall.

Sask-alert is requesting to have all residents install the Sask-alert app, to keep better informed during the pandemic.

Council discussed the library board for 2020 and a village representative being elected. Congratulations to Mayor Olimb for being chosen as that representative and Councilor Andrews as his alternate.

Under old business the council discussed the several emails they received and how to respond to them. One correspondent will be contacted to ask for more information on the lagoon fixing tender.

 Moving onto new business, the administrator participated in an election webinar.A few new things have changed with elections across Canada.

 Village bylaw 2019-2 was reviewed and clarified as well, just prior to the meeting being adjourned.

 The next village meeting May 5, 2020 and the village minutes will be posted in the usual public locations around the village.
