SASKATOON - A Saskatoon woman charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 49-year-old man has made several appearances in court.

Kathleen Rosa Marie Laliberte was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear again in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Oct. 4.

Detectives with Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section and the Saskatchewan RCMP arrested 30-year-old Laliberte on Sept. 2 in Jans Bay, Sask., without incident.

According to police, they found a man’s body in a home on the 1800 block of Avenue B North on July 15. This was the city’s fifth homicide of the year.

Police say Laliberte knew the man and they aren’t searching for any more suspects. They didn’t release the victim’s name.
