Saskatoon Police conduct high risk traffic stop

Saskatoon Police arrested three people and seized weapons during a high-risk traffic stop Saturday

SASKATOON - Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) conducted a high-risk traffic stop Saturday at about 2:30 p.m. at the corner of Circle Drive and Laurier Drive.

According to SPS, they received a call at about 2 p.m. on Saturday about someone pointing a firearm in the 100 block of Betts Avenue. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and conduct a high-risk traffic stop.

They found a loaded, sawed-off shotgun, ammunition and a machete inside the vehicle. They also determined the vehicle was stolen and arrested three people, two men aged 35 and 28, and a 26-year-old woman.
