SASKATCHEWAN — An air quality warning has been issued for much of east-central and parts of northern Saskatchewan.
According to the warning, smoke is causing poor air quality and reduced visibility. Air quality and visibility due to wildfire smoke can fluctuate over short distances and can vary considerably from hour to hour.
People more likely to be impacted by wildfire smoke, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant women, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should avoid strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.
The city of Prince Albert, the district of Lakeland, and 72 RMs are affected. Yorkton, Humboldt, Canora, Kamsack, Preeceville and Melfort are among the impacted urban municipalities.
