Yorkton Council confirmed its representation to the Trans Canada Yellowhead Highway Association at its regular meeting Monday.

“The City of Yorkton holds a membership in the Trans Canada Yellowhead Highway Association. Councillor Randy Goulden had been appointed as the City of Yorkton’s representative since 2012. Councillor Goulden has indicated that she is willing to continue to serve in this capacity for the next four year term,” Mayor Bob Maloney told Council.

“In addition to my recommendation to appoint her as the City of Yorkton’s Primary Voting Representative for the next four year term (2016-2020), there is a requirement to appoint three additional voting representatives as the City of Yorkton’s population fits into the four representatives category.”

Maloney then recommended that in addition to Goulden, he himself, and Councillors Ken Chyz and Quinn Haider be confirmed as representatives.

The recommendation was unanimously supported by Council.
