Blake Zagrodney and Amber Spray represented the Kelvington 4-H Beef Club at the provincial public speaking competition held in Canwood.

Kelvington 4-H Beef Club was well represented April 23, when Amber Spray and Blake Zagrodney travelled to Canwood to compete in the Provincial Public Speaking Competition, reported Christine Zagrodney, a parent.

The competition hosted 32 competitors from across Saskatchewan. The top one per cent of the nearly 3,000 4-H members in Saskatchewan was in attendance.

“The day was very well organized and included lunch, a roast beef supper and 32 amazing speeches, Zagrodney said. Guest speaker Cameron Choquette gave an inspiring presentation about the 3 Cs of 4-H.

Amber Spray competed in the Cloverbuds category, and Blake Zagrodney competed in the junior category.

Both members did their best and came away with great memories of an amazing opportunity, Christine said.

“Congratulations Amber and Blake,” she said. “Thank you for representing Kelvington  4-H Beef Club, District 42 and the northeast region.”
