The Kamsack River Valley Archery Club has reopened with new COVID-safe plans for this year’s archery season and is inviting anyone aged 5 to 85+ to join them.

All six current members of Esterhazy town council are running for re-election. Voters will go to the polls November 9 and will choose six councillors from a total of eight candidates.

The Kamsack town council has decided to permit Trick-Or-Treating in Kamsack this year and encourages residents to follow COVID-safe Trick-Or-Treating.

At the height of the Saskatchewan-wide COVID outbreak in April, Caitlyn Fatteicher, originally of Kamsack graduated from University but instead of being free to celebrate her accomplishments, was faced with a new challenge.

At the RM of St Phillips the reeve and one of the two councillors whose terms were up are being opposed. For Reeve, Gillis Como and Mike Kalinowsky have put their names forward. In Division five, Bernie Miosuk was elected by acclamation.

The Preeceville canola fundraiser finished its harvest on October 7. The canola field was located approximately one mile west of Preeceville. The harvest was a large volunteer effort.

“We are please to announce the Town of Preeceville’s Wastewater Treatment Facility Project is complete,” said Lorelei Karcha, Town of Preeceville administrator.

The dedication of the Urban Habitat Project in Canora was held on October 3 by the River Ridge Fish and Game League. The cairn at the site states, “This Memorial Woodland is dedicated to the River Ridge Fish and Game members who have gone before us.
