A sight that may not be everyone’s idea of a fun way to spend an afternoon, greeted some Kamsack residents recently.

Autumn's Place Grill and Dairy Bar opened for business in Sturgis on May 4 with overwhelming support, stated owners Chad and Kim Rose. "We were looking at different options after we addressed the need for something in the town," said Kim.

As of May 24, 2020, Saskatchewan has two new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 632. The two new cases are in the Far North. Of the 632 reported cases, 87 are considered active.

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 38 calls for service during the reporting period, some of which included: six provincial statutes, seven mischiefs, two assaults, two impaired drivers, two uttering threats, two thefts, and one break and enter.
