Bantam Terriers get a big win on home ice

Yorkton overpowered Notre Dame 7-1 at the Yorkton Kinsmen Arena on Saturday. The Terriers won with a four-goal third period to pull away from what was a close game through two periods.

The Terrier bantam UCT team improved their overall league record in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League standings.

Six different players got their names on the scoresheet, including Steven Ste. Marie who had two goals.

Branden Pelechaty opened the scoring. Josh Rohatynsky scored shortly after, making it 2-0. Kholton Shewchuk drew an assist on that goal then scored one himself to put the Terriers up 3-0. Grayson Neufeld tallied to make it 4-0 before Ste. Marie scored twice and Rylan Jasper rounded out the scoring with time running out in the final frame. Yorkton was only charged with two penalty calls all game long.
