Teams with the Canora Minor Hockey Association are entering a sponsorship through Dodge Caravan Kids, which aims to assist novice-level hockey teams through funding as well as contests to win additional funding.

The teams each received $500 for signing up, which is being used to purchase jerseys, and is now entered into a photo contest. The Canora Novice Red and Black teams took team pictures on November 17. Genevieve Shukin, the manager of the Canora Novice Red team, and Cindy Sznerch, the manager of the Canora Novice Black team, organized the photo.

Assisting with the photo was Richard Jordeczka, who brought his Chrysler Pacifica to the rink for the photo. Yorkton Dodge also sent hats for the players to wear for the photo. The hats and the Pacifica’s inclusion in the photo will allow the team to score extra points in the photo contest.

The winner of the photo contest will receive an extra $500, and the Canora Novice Red team manager, Genevieve Shukin, encourages families to enter the Dodge Breakaway Giveaway Contest, which is part of the program and will provide not only a chance to win a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, but a chance to win an extra $5,000 in funding for the local minor hockey association.
