CCS junior girls basketball team wins all three games at Yorkton tournament

The Canora Composite School’s junior girls basketball team returned from Yorkton January 21 having won all three of the games played at the Yorkdale tournament.

            The Canora Composite School’s junior girls basketball team returned from Yorkton January 21 having won all three of the games played at the Yorkdale tournament.

            In addition to Canora, teams participating at the tournament were: Yorkdale 1, Yorkdale 2, Sturgis, Norquay, Dauphin 7, Dauphin 8 and St. Henry's.

            “It was a good weekend and the girls did great,” said Tamara Slowski.

            Canora defeated Yorkdale 1, Sturgis and St. Henry’s, Slowski said.

            The team was to play a home game against Norquay on January 26 and was to attend a tournament in Langenburg Friday and Saturday.
