Last year Canadian Wrestling’s Elite (CWE) kicked off their sixth anniversary tour in Yorkton with the first live wrestling event in the city in over three years.

Fast forward one year later and Yorkton has become one of the most successful stops on CWE tours, welcoming names such as Scott Steiner, Christopher Daniels, Justin Gabriel and Charlie Haas just to name a few.

The city has also become one of the favourite stops for CWE talent, as well as owner and promoter Danny Warren, who feels as if Yorkton is a home away from home. “Yorkton has really become like a second home to CWE,” stated Warren in an interview early this past weekend. “Not only are the fans some of the best in Canada, but we have become a part of the community by being involved with the schools and children in town and that part personally makes Yorkton a special stop on every tour and because of the support we get here we want to say thanks.”

But how does Warren plan on showing his gratitude? Will he personally walk around and shake everyone’s hand?

Not likely. Instead, Warren says he’ll show his appreciation on Saturday, January 20, by bringing the best unsigned talents Canada and North America have to offer to Yorkton. “I am confident in saying with the roster booked on this event it is the strongest event from opening ball to close,” suggested Warren. “Everyone on the show is a headliner somewhere in the world today, from Jason Kincaid and Colt Cabana to Tyler Colton and SIGMON.”

Card (Subject to change)

Matches scheduled for this Saturday are as follows: A Rumble for Ron rematch between Yorkton’s own Bull Bodnar and ‘The Hot Prospect’ Travis Cole.

Ring of Honor (ROH) top prospect Jason ‘The Gift’ Kincaid returns to Yorkton and takes on ‘Hotshot’ Danny Duggan.

The CWE tag team titles will be on the line for the first time ever in Yorkton as champions Dick Blood and Billy Blaze (Blazin’ Dick) defend against CWE’s 123Approved.ca TV champion and self-proclaimed ‘Wrestling’s Strongest Man’ Tyler Colton and partner and Bullet Club member ‘The Crown Jewel’ Chase Owens.

The CWE Championship will also find itself defended once again in Yorkton, as the champion ‘A-List’ Anderson Tyson Moore defends his title against SIGMON.

The final match of the night sees ROH/WWE alumnus Colt ‘Boom Boom’ Cabana take on ‘The Rabid Dog’ Rob Stardom in what will be the Yorkton debut for both wrestlers.
